Arete Prep Track and Field Shines at State Meet
The Arete Prep Track and Field team capped off their season with an impressive showing at the AIA State Track and Field Meet held at Red Mountain High School over the weekend. The team brought home two gold medals and numerous podium finishes, with the boys placing 5th overall out of 36 scoring teams.
Senior Michael Harambasic led the way with a stellar performance in the 100m, winning gold with a personal best and new school record time of 11.0 seconds—edging out second place by just 0.01 seconds. He also earned bronze in the 200m (23.00) and placed 4th in the 400m (51.62).
Senior Max Bruns closed out his high school career in epic fashion, capturing gold in the 800m with a thrilling final straightaway surge—breaking the 2:00 barrier for the first time. Max also took home bronze medals in both the 1600m and 3200m events.
Sophomore John Bruns had an outstanding meet, finishing as the top 10th grader in both the 3200m (8th overall, 10:13) and the 1600m (9th overall, 4:43). He also placed 17th in a deep and competitive 800m field.

Izzy Restivo – Long Jump: 8th place, 15-08 — New School Record; 100m: 16th place, 13.29
Nhattan Pham – Long Jump: 7th place, 20-00
Ben Bellomy – Discus: 16th place, 108-03
4x100m Relay (Chris Ajagbe, Nhattan Pham, Rigby Rushton, Michael Harambasic): 9th in prelims
4x400m Relay (Nhattan Pham, Max Bruns, Rayan Ahmed, Rigby Rushton): 10th in prelims
