Track Athletes Compete in Open State Meet

On Saturday, Arete's record setting 4x800 team competed against the best in Arizona, at the AIA Open State Track Meet at Mesa Community College. The 4x800, consisting of Noah Wesson, John Bruns, Max Bruns, and Derick Ruiz came in as the DV champs with a season best time of 8:03. The relay lowered the school record to 8:01 and finished 6th overall, surrounded by DI and DII teams.
Max also raced in the 3200m individually, and PR'd with a 9:41.47. He placed 16th in the state across all divisions in a highly competitive field.
