Arete Archery once again shined at the NASP State Tournament Saturday at the Ben Avery Range.
Team results included:
Elementary- 1st place in 3D, 2nd place in Bullseye
Middle school – 1st place in 3D, 1st place in Bullseye
High School-2nd place in 3D
Individual highlights included:
Everett Jerry (ELE)- 3rd place bullseye and 2nd place 3D
Sophia Shaw (ELE)- 2nd place 3D
Evelyn Hendricks (MS)- 1st place 3D and 1st place bullseye
Rose Shaw (MS)- 3rd place bullseye
Sean Widner (HS)- 1st place bullseye
Sadie Frasure (HS)- 3rd place bullseye and 2nd place 3D.
Brass rings: The prestigious Brass Ring is presented to the individuals with the highest overall score between bullseye and 3D, in a tournament.
Congratulations to Desirae Galanos for earning the Brass Ring at the Chauncey Ranch Tournament and to Sadie Frasure for earning the Brass Ring at the Tuscon State Qualifier.
Congratulations to Evelyn Hendricks who earned the overall Brass Ring for the state tournament- the first such honor in Arete Prep Archery’s prestigious history. For this outstanding honor, Evelyn received a custom metallic bow from NASP.
The successful state tournament now has Archery headed back to Sandy, Utah on 4/26 and 4/27 to compete against archers from the Western Region in NASP Western Nationals. With a successful Western Regional, archers would advance to World competition in Daytona Beach, FL this summer.
