Arete varsity boys basketball  went on a Valley Region tournament run over the weekend, beating Miami and upsetting #2 Leading Edge before falling to #1 SanTan in the Championship on Saturday. 
Ryan Mourad (SR) and sophomores Harrison Kremer and Crew Oetjen led the team in scoring throughout the three games 

The boys will learn their 2A State Tournament seeding and game information on Wednesday, and will be on the road for a Play in Game on Friday. They will look to return to the State Tournament in Prescott for the 4th time in 5 years.
