Arete Prep Varsity XC competed in the legendary Woodbridge Invite in Irvine, CA over the weekend- one of the top XC competitions in the country. The Chargers rose to the challenge, with all 5 of our runners PR'ing in the 3.0 mile course in the Varsity race Saturday night. Junior Max Bruns was the top Charger finisher coming in at a blistering 15:30, good enough for 12th place overall. Freshman John Bruns (94th, 16:25) and Senior Derick Ruiz (100th, 16:28) also medaled. Noah Wesson came in just behind Derick in 16:32 and Jason Rozas crossed the finish line at 17:06. As a team the Chargers placed 12th overall.
