Arete's '23-24 Archery program gets started on 9/1 with our Fall "Archery 101" program. Archery 101 is geared towards inexperienced Archers, but returning Archers are welcome to get involved for extra practice leading up to the competition season in November. Archery 101 is centered mostly around learn to shoot and repetition through practice. There is a NASP competition they will attend and compete at in mid October, at Chauncey Ranch in Mayer, AZ. The season also concludes with our "Boos and Arrows" Halloween family shoot, trunk or treat, chili cook off, and more!

Who: Coed Grades 4-12
Start Date: 9/1 Team Meeting (All archers should attend and parents welcome) 3:45-5:00pm in the Arete Library

Registration: Archery Registration
NOTE: A sports physical is NOT required for Archery
NOTE: There will be a separate registration for Competition team. Stay tuned for that info in October
Cost/Payment: $250.00
The hope is that our Archery 101 Archers will continue on into our Competition season. Competition season runs from November- May and can lead to State, National, and World Championship qualification. If continuing on, there is an additional $100 fee for the competition team.
Archery 101 Season Dates: 9/1- 11/1
Practice Schedule: All practices take place at the Arete range (southeast corner of campus)
Practices are offered 5 days per week.
Mon/Tue/Thur/Fri 3:30-5:00pm
Wednesdays (early release) 2:30-4:00pm
The goal is for Archers to shoot 3 days per week.
Practice groups and a schedule will be formed once all Archers are registered.
Equipment: The school has all equipment required to get started. Most archers do end up purchasing their own bow. Contact Coach Portillo for more info on type of bow and where to purchase, if desired.
